I'm now trying to catch up with lots of messages that I haven't read
yet.

There are so many features that I haven't learned about.  This is one of
them!  I didn't know that you can create Events and exclude dates and
places from displaying when you create the event.

This is cool!

You can define an Event called "Fact".  In the Event definition screen
for 
the "Fact" Event, you can exclude the "superfluous date".

Functionally, what's the difference?
