Dee,
For Windows 2000 and, I think XP:
1. On the Legacy File menu, click Open
2. In the Open Family File dialogue box that opens, click the icon
that looks like a dialogue box in the top right corner.
3. Select Details from the drop down menu.
Unfortunately, you hve to do this each time - you can't make your
preference "stick" like in Windows Explorer. Still, it helps. Also,
I'm not sure that it is available in earlier versions of Windows.
