I haven't changed the folder structure of photos attached to Legacy since I started attaching photos a couple of years ago apart from experimenting the first week or so - though I have shifted their location and shifted them from old computer to new computer.
I've also added folders.
I keep all photos attached to Legacy under a folder called Legacy Pictures.
So long as you don't change the filenames, Legacy will find all pictures in a folder once you've found the first (See Options > Customise > Locations Tab - Test multimedia paths)
It currently doesn't seem to find subfolders so you do have to find them individually.
That's why I've changed where I keep the Legacy Pictures folder so that the path is the same on my desktop and laptop. I used to keep it in ...\My Docs\Legacy\Pictures. Now it's C:\My Pictures\Legacy Pictures

Cathy

Cathy,

Does your complex directory structure age well?

I'm just beginning to add pictures also and am struggling on the directory
structure.

It seems that if I decide on a structure, load the directories and then add
those images to Master Sources, Source citations, ToDos, individuals, etc.
I've got a big job if I change my directory structure.

Or am I missing something (hopefully)? I know you can change the root for
the Legacy Picture location but if everything (or anything) changes below
that structure don't you have to change everyplace that you add the pictures
too?
