This is also what I do. I try to only have on C: what HAS to be 
on C: including the Program files. Almost all other programs are 
on D:, data is on E:, photos on F. That way it is easy to back up 
what I need to back up daily. I back up C: anytime I add a new 
program that wont go on D: and the registry is backed up daily 
with Legacy.
