Are we talking about the same thing? I am referring to the event definition list. On my box I have always been able to highlight an event definition, press the bar at the bottom, highlight the blank field at the beginning and press the bar again and get rid of it . . . .have done this several times.

Are you referring to removing the Unspecified Event? You can't. If you
read the Help file about it, you'll see that it has it's purpose. Why do
you call it a "nuisance"?

What Sherry means is that on that specific window there is a Help button (or
should be). If you press the button the help that you get is specific to
that
window (i.e. context-sensitive).
