I am quite behind in reading these emails. This one has grabbed my attention.
I'm wondering what the general consensus is - are transcriptions of documents such as census being entered in the event notes or source detail text? I started entering them in event notes (isn't that where Geoff recommends in his training cd's?) but after reading this message, I can see that this is also a viable location for this information and I'm wondering there is a benefit for doing it at this spot rather than the event notes. I value this group's opinions. I get the "Source Citations" list but no text for census, BMD transcriptions etc. I get my "notes" just nothing that I have in "Sources" I tried the "reset" option that was mentioned earlier. I am familiar with PAF where it gives to option to check both "Source Citations" and "Actual Text", I am not seeing that option with Legacy. I can see the text when I bring the individual records up and check their sources.
