Is there a way to get Legacy to correctly show a single unmarried parent as an adoptive parent? My situation is I know both the biological parents and the adoptive parent of my ancestor. When I enter the biological parents as the first set of parents and then try to add the adoptive parent as a second parent, Legacy insists on assigning a marriage event to an "Unknown" for the other adoptive parent. The program will not allow me to either delete the "Unknown" or to disolve the marriage relationship between "Unknown" and the single parent.

Also, when I do an Ancestor Book Report, the program will only show the parents previously selected for an individual in the family view. For instance, if I want to print an Ancestor Book Report for my son and in this case his grandmother was adopted but the biological parents are known, I must select the set of parents to include in the report and the program prints only the information for that parents ancestors. The only way that I can show the adoptive parent is to create an event that includes her name. However, that way never goes back any further than that parent for showing the adoptive parent's ancestors. I hope that's not too confusing. Any suggestions?
