Hi Ron,

I think if you take your FOOTER code and place in the include custom footer
section of the web page creation dialog, your problem would be resolved and
you could save yourself about an hour 8*).

====
<table width=100%>
<tr>

<td>
**** Insert your HEADER code here ****
</td>

</tr>
<tr>

<td>
<iframe width=100% height=1024 src="Legacy Generated Index Page">
</iframe>
</td>

</tr>
</table>

=====

Actually, you can probably put your HEADER code in the custom header field
and eliminate the need for any editing, no need for iframe at all.

Hi Steve,

Many thanks for the suggestion.

Overcoming my innate reluctance to use frames, I had a play with the iframe
tag last night and would say firstly that it does work as you suggest. For
me, however, it was not really acceptable.

If you have looked at my site, at the bottom of the page is a solid bar
which is linked to the header ie. a continuation of the same table. If I
included this footer inside the iframe then one has the same problem with
the Legacy code as before (and some others). Logically it should be taken
out and included in your code after the iframe section. This works fine but
necessitates two vertical tool bars - the outside one can be eliminated but
this leaves a very small viewing area. So all in all I prefer not to go down
this route.

Making the 3 changes to the Legacy code plus a couple of my of my own
choice takes me about one hour per 150 pages so I guess I will stick with
that for as long as I have to.

I did, however, enjoy playing around with your suggestion, so thanks again.

Ron Ferguson
