I have enjoyed reading your family history. I lived
in Bavaria in der Oberpfalz for 10 years. I'm not
German and have none on my family tree as yet.

Here is a possible reason for the 2 birth dates for JMZ.
The first is his birth date. The second is when it was
recorded in the church, i.e., christening/baptism date.
In my Danish research I sometimes can't tell if the
date recorded in the parish book is birth or baptism.
But then I don't read Danish very well. Plus I never
trust transcriptions and the IGI. I've found a lot of
BS in the IGI, but the IGI is still good more than not.

When checking your HTML I suggest you, use Mozilla's
Firefox browser. It is a little less forgiving when one
does not use standard code - so I am told. I use it and
like it. If the site is badly coded, I switch to IE.
I also use Mozilla's Thunderbird as my email client.

I would like to use caps here but... thank you, Sherry!!

Also to report that I've nearly finished my work on all this, and all is being uploaded fresh as I write this. There are now two versions of a somewhat modified display format which "look okay", but I know there are some internal html problems written in by Frontpage (!), so I need to run those thru an html checker too.. I'll make a final post when that's finished, hopefully later today.

Lots of changes and improvements were made in the process, and I've included new links which should make it easy to view the progress step by step.

thank you again, so very much!

<snip>

I know it's a holiday here in the US, but perhaps after the Legacy folks get back from their break, I would hope Support will contact me and take a look at the original file and the rewritten file, then get the programmers to fix these problems. I'm no programmer, but seems to me there can't be all that
much to do.

It would be most helpful if others at LUG would also voice a request that
Legacy fix their html code for pedigree webpages.

thanks so much
RonKZ
