I read it online and type it into a Census Event. For the head of household's record I put the entire thing, including the name of the head of family before and after on the census. Then I save that event and copy it into each person listed, but on their record I only keep the detail info pertaining to them in the notes.
Example:
Event: Census
Description: household of William Hahn, ED 19, township 8, sheet 6A & 6B
Date: 5 Jun 1900

Bill,

I don't understand. Do you mean you don't download the images to read? Do you read them online? How do you get the information to put it in the events or source?

Lewis

Where is the best place to put census images - Event or Source citation?
Why?

Lewis

I don't use census images at all. Too many; they take up too much space. I put part of the information from the images in Events and some in Sources.

Where are you getting the images? I get mine mostly from Ancestry.com and HeritageQuest. I wonder if there is a copyright problem in reproducing their versions of the images? I don't know.
