Dennis:

You were right about the "short location name"--I unchecked that and the problem went away. I still don't understand why it happened. Kiskimeneton was a misspelling that I corrected using global change, and it does not appear at all in the location list anymore. But, I'm satisfied with the result, so I won't quibble. Thanks for your help.

In a census event for several individuals, I have the place name
"Kiskiminetas, Armstrong Co., Pennsylvania." It appears correctly in
individual view, but when I generate a family group sheet, the name appears
as "Kiskimeneton" in the event. It appears correctly everwhere else, as in
source names. The locality master list does not have "Kiskimeneton." The
problem does not occur in an individual sheet or a descendants report.

Is "Kiskimeneton" listed as the short name for "Kiskiminetas, Armstrong Co.,
Pennsylvania"? For one report have you checked "Use short location names" and not the other? Are you using an event sentence override with a misspelling in
it?

Just a few things to look at...
