Janet, I just did this myself. Thanks to this group, I was able to accomplish it no problem.
To load Legacy, just go to the website and download it. If you have the Deluxe version, just go to the upgrade section of the website and input your Legacy Key (can't remember what it is called) and then Legacy is installed. Then save your family file as a backup onto the CD from your desktop computer. Then load the CD on your laptop and RESTORE file into Legacy from the backup. I tried to do the GEDCOM way and I kept getting errors. Hope this is clear! Have a great vacation!
