I think it's working as intended but if you have an example of a tagged
individual where their parents are not being exported then I'd need a copy of
your family file to try to reproduce the problem.
The options to include parents, spouses and children will include extra people
in the export. These extra people are in addition to the original tagged
individuals. We don't include extra people for these extra people. Meaning
if a spouse is inlcuded we don't also bring in that spouses parents, other
spouses and children.
You mention that there are MRINs. These get created to connect two siblings
together. If you have tagged two kids but are not including their parents we
will create a marriage record so the two kids are tied together. I think this
is what you are seeing. In the past we didn't inlcude these marriage records
and the two kids were not linked as siblings. We kept getting requests to add
the marriage record so the two would be linked.
If you need to send me your family file do a File, Backup Family file which will
create a .zip file. Email the .zip file to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
directly and not to this mailing list. Also, give me the RIN number of a
couple of the tagged individuals where their parents are not included in the
export. It would also help if you could do a screen capture of your export
options or type them up for me so I can try to reproduce things exactly like you
are doing them.

I just installed the Aug 10th update (5.0.0.256)
and still have the same problem I wrote about on
July 14th.
I flagged the records I wanted to export using a tag
I entered a check on the All records with a tag of 1
I entered a check on all spouses of tagged individuals
I entered a check on all children of tagged individuals
I entered a check on all parents of tagged individuals
(I was wanting the spouses' parents.)
The parents of most of the tagged individuals were not exported into the new
Legacy file ...
However, scads of MRIN's were exported without any
names in them ... when I click on one of the blank MRINs
I get to blank records for the parents of the child listed
below the "no name records".
My operating system is XP home
When will this problem be fixed????
