Hi Simon,
You can attach any file to an individual using the Picture Gallery and add as a Sound or Video file - just change the file type to All to do this.
However these won't print.

For automatic printing you need to cut and paste them into a note - perhaps Event notes would suit your purpose.

Another option in Legacy 6 comes with the Publication Centre.
There is a Place Holder option and you can reserve as many pages as you like. You give a title so it shows in the Table of Contents. You print your document separately using the page numbers as assigned by your Legacy Book and then insert them in the finished product.
This may be the best answer.

When all is working well, I suspect this will be a great help in compiling a book.

Hi everyone,

Apart from the 'Note' function, is there any way of attaching documents
to individuals in reports?

For instance, several of my "characters" have numerous documents such as
Court cases, Deeds, Wills etc. These are too long, and too many of, to
add into a single note function.

What I am looking for is the ability to import and attach these
documents as separate pages, or appendix(es), to print after the notes
and sources of an individual. With the option of selecting the
appendixes or not in the report options.

If this function or similar is already part of Legacy can someone please
guide me to it. If not could it be considered in future upgrades?

An 'Appendix' function where each imported document, deed etc., is
allocated a separate page, appearing in a list, each document basically
being a separate 'Note'. With the ability to arrange them in the list in
a selected order as one adds more documents, just to keep them in a
logical date or subject order.

An advancement on this would to be able to import pictures or scans as
well into the "Appendix" function, such as scans of birth certificates etc.

And as I suggest, with the option of adding to reports after any notes
and sources, printing as individual pages for each document.

Of course one has the ability to print a report to file, and then adding
other documents in Word, but I would prefer to see my genealogy program
to do as much as possible without too much further editing in other
programs.

Regards

Simon
