I don't believe the desktop version of MS Access allows transactions.

I wasn't sure if transactions were supported myself so I went looking.

I have Access 97 and found a section in the Access Help files that talks about using transactions. The three key transaction related commands are mentioned; begin transaction, commit transaction and rollback. It indicates that transactions can be nested up to five levels deep as well. In there it says that the Jet Database Engine supports transactions so if Legacy uses the Jet Database Engine then it will depend on whether the version of Visual Basic used by the developers to write the application includes this support. If they use some other database engine then transactions may not be supported (the Access help file indicates that some database engines do not support transactions).

I looks like it is up to the developers then whether they want to adopt transactions to allow for the rollback of data changes where the user has cancelled a screen such as the marriage info or the marriage source, marriage events, marriage pictures etc. entry screens.
