I wanted to search for all the individuals that had either a birthday
or anniversary on august 12. in my data base.
First I search for an individual who's birth was equal to august
12 result nothing
Second I search for an individual who's death equal to August
12 results nothing
Third I searched for a marriage who's equal to August
12 results nothing
The date field contains the entire date, including the year. If you
have a date entered as Aug 12 with no year it will find it. If there is
a year entered, say 1948, then Aug 12, 1948 is NOT the same as Aug 12
and will not be returned. I hope I have explained it well enough. And
no, using wild card place holders does not work either. I believe it
may be due to the way Legacy (Access) stores dates.
