| Hi Glen,
|
| You may be able to help me. After doing family research for over 25
| years, I have collected a large number of documents, which have all
| been scanned and/or converted to PDF and HTM files. To give you an
| example for one person, I have his birth, marriage and death
| certificates together with photos over the years, his diplomas etc. I
| would like to have all these connected to his record in LEGACY so
| that when I produce web pages, they are automatically attached to
| him.
|
| Now I create all the links manually in the web page but for each
| update of the web pages , I have to re-enter the information.
|
| Could you or someone else think of a smarter way to do this.
|
| Thanks and kind regards.
|
| George.
|
| PS: I create CDs , replicating the website, every 6 months for
| various members of the family worldwide who do not have access to
| high speed Internet. The CDs also act as back up copies of all my
| records and documentation.
|

George,

It's very easy, really. Create an Event, say 'Documents' and in the notes
section, place a link, such as <a
href="http://www.xxxx.com/documents.htm";>Personal Documents</a>
Only the double brackets are Alt+174 and Alt+175 and may not reproduce
correctly in an email. Legacy strips these out for the normat single bracket
for web use.

You will now have a clickable link on the pages that include the relevant
Event.
