Bob,
If you consistently use the research type of correspondence when
creating a to do item only for letters. You can filter the todo
report for that type when you create it. Click the filter options
tab and make sure only cooresponce type todo's is checked. Use
the types "research" or "other" for the todo items that are not
correspondence.

Lewis,
This would work fine for _all_ items in your Legacy "To-Do" list, i.e.
searching census records (either on-line or in person), visiting your
local FHC library to view microfilms, writing letters of request for
vital records, etc. What I was looking for is someway to _specifically_
track the current status of only the written correspondence that I have
sent out.
Thanks,
Bob

The "To Dos" that are open haven't been received. When the answer is
received, close the "To Do". They are complete.

Dan,
Thanks for the suggestions. Your way of keeping track of the
correspondence sent using the "To-Do" list in Legacy certainly
appears elegant, but is there any way of seeing what correspondence
hasn't been answered yet?? In other words, can the "To-Do" list be
searched for those letters and requests that you have not yet
received a reply to??
Thanks,
Bob
