Paul,
I use Thunderbird as my email program but have some experience with
Outlook Express. After you click the icon to "Create Mail" you get the
new mail window where you can enter the "To:" and "Subject:" fields.
Directly above those fields is an icon bar with one of the icons shaped
liked a paperclip and labeled "Attach". Click the "Attach" icon and a
normal Windows directory window will open up. Navigate to where you
saved the GEDCOM file you want to send, double click the file and viola
- the GEDCOM file will be attached to your email ready to send.
Hope this helps. Any problems just give the list a yell . . .

Thanks Dennis, my email program is Outlook Express and I believe my
cousin is the same. If think my problem is that I don't know how to
get it from the Gedcom file to the attachment on the email so she can
import it to her program.
After I create the Gedcom in Legacy what is my next step to attach it
to an email?

Could someone please explain to me in steps how to email after
creating the Gedcom.
This would depend on the email program on each end. In general, you
would "attach" it to an email and send it to them. They would "detach"
it on their end, and then import the detached file into FTM.
