I think the key is that wherever you store your data you should be backing up. I find backing up easier if everything I want to backup is in one folder. My Documents is just another folder. I could just as easily have created my own c:\MyData and stored everything there. It is probably a crapshoot that in your case your system dir got corrupted. It could just as easily have been c:\aa (and/or the registry). -- Dennis M.
