Search of a Legacy GEDCOM could be used if the field used to enter data has 
been forgotten. Legacy GEDCOM export has an option to split notes between 
whole words.

Separate programs used to organize notes are often considered "double work." 
One of my research counties has separate spreadsheets for births, marriages, 
deaths and four different census years. Individuals have name variations in 
each source so the only method that works is to have all details in the SAME 
genealogy file that can be used to print wall charts.
