Cynthia, unfortunately many compilers use parenthesis, instead of
quotes, to indicate a nickname. Your descendants may well read this as
Dodd Fergus "William". The parenthesis may help you out in the
immediate but could well serve up some real misunderstandings for
others.

When I am in the Index View, I must remember that all of those names
beginning with a parenthesi ( will be listed at the end of the
alphabet). Other than this one catch I am quite happy with the way it
looks and works.
