Nick, The fix is quite easy - I don't understand why you think it's complicated?
1. Update Legacy - there's even a link to click on to access the update. 2. Run a File > File Maintenance > Check/Repair - not at all hard. The program does all the work. 3. Export to a new Family File - again, no more complicated than creating a gedcom. If you have Windows XP, you won't need to do the other two steps to update Windows. If you don't have Windows XP, make sure you update Windows. Thanks for using Legacy.
