Hi Fran,

The Paf file has dotPAF extension. I converted from PAF a year ago but I think I may have imported a dotGED from PAF. I would suggest first doing an import to a new empty Legacy file. The only problem I'm aware of is where I had multiple surnames, French Canadian dit names (AKA), such as:
Creste Crete
Pelletier Peltier Dit Antaya
Roy Dit Chatellereau
parts of them went into "Title Suffix" field but this may have been how they were in my PAF file.
Good luck
Richard

Subject: [LegacyUG] Importing PAF into Legacy

I have a cousin who has PAF 231. I would like to load her data for our
families into my new Legacy program. I understand Legacy can import
PAF directly. Just what do I need from her? A PAF backup? A copy of
her family files?

Thanks from a newbie,
Fran
