Thanks for your interest.

I've been reading about cvs, but wouldn't know how to go about setting it all up yet. Unless of course it would suffice to copy the missing file into the right location, but I suspect it may be a little more difficult than that.

a hot fix would be nice, but if you think you'll update the file within, say 2-3 weeks, I can wait. I'm just setting up a second box with a windows environment and will be having a look at ROBOLAB, so I should be busy for a couple of days

Thank you for your detaled reply. I followed your instructions and came
up with the following error:

$ ant

irctrcx.libs:

BUILD FAILED
/mnt/hde1/lejos_3.0.0-M3/build/build.xml:69: Basedir
/mnt/hde1/lejos_3.0.0-M3/src/comms/libirtrcx does not exist

You're right: the src folder in the M3 preview contains the wrong communication libraries (lib...rcx2 instead of lib...rcx).
Arrggl!
Sorry for that and thanks for hinting.

I'll fix that (critical) bug as soon as possible.

This error is actually quite similar to one I had trying to make lejos
2.1 from the 'official website' which also complained about not being
able to find files (jar files in that occasion)

Most probably that is due to the fact that leJOS 2 is rather old by now and does not support the Linux 2.6 kernel.

What should my next step be?

In the meantime, do you think you could build the libraries from the present cvs version of leJOS?

If not, I could send you a .tar file containing a hot fix.

Regards,
 Matthias
