Christine, The build (required for Linux only) is done using ANT (http://ant.apache.org/): the build.xml actually is an ANT build file. Changing into the "build" folder and running
ant should do (well, I know, I've forgotten to add the Read.me file - am about to fix this presently). Do not hesitate to report any problems with this.
