I am trying to work with the rotation sensor using leJOS 2.1.0 for a precise 90 and 180 degree turns; as apposed to timing. I have the type set to (4,0xE0) - rotation, angle - but cannot read a value of any use. Method readValue() for the canonical value gives me 0000 and the 9999 with no in between. Method readRawValue() gives more useful values but they jump upward in large increments making them not so useful. I am using the Lego track design with a gear to the sensor running off the rear track sprocket. Is there something I am missing in how to read properly from this sensor? and use that info correctly?
