Some time ago I ran into the next website:
http://home.earthlink.net/~stuff.tm/solarlego/index.html
It's for the RCX only, but maybe it can be a source of inspiration.

Subject: [Lejos-discussion] hooking up the battery pack with solar
energy

Hi guys and pretty ones,

did anyone yet try to hook up the battery pack with a little solar energy
panel? I'm thinking about going 'classic' with my bot, having it
autonomously 'survive' by searching for a bright spot and feeding itself
sunlight.
But I'm not too familiar with the solar panel market. They tend to be used
for recharging cellphones and batteries anyway, so I guess there's enough
power generated by them.

Just trying my luck, maybe someone knows...
I'm sorry this does not directly relate to Java, if that is a problem let
me know.

Cheers,
Robbert
