So what you mean is that the curve is reasonable in "near linear" portion, but 
becomes problematic in the remaining portion. 

 In fact, we can see that the "non linear" portion of the curve, which
corresponds to the outer part of the image domain, the distortion is
very big. So the distortion correction is good in the center domain of
image, but problematic in the outer domain of the image ?
