I really wonder what made you assume that Hugin dropped lensfun.

Hugin latest official release "2014.0.0" from Oct. 2014 actually comes 
with the lensfun library, I just checked again. Just don't use menu 
Interface -> 'Simple' but 'Advanced' or 'Expert'. Now do a right click 
on an input image in the 'Photos' tab and have a look at 'Lens'... it 
just wasn't again advertised in the current release notes. I'll be happy 
to provide you with screenshots if needed.

Or is there a release after 2012.0.0 that dropped lensfun that you can 
point me to?
