Carl, I am irritated by the thread there.

1. I've never been "fuzzy" with my statements here.  This is simply
   not true.

2. Thomas Modes is complaining about only exactly *one* thing: Hugin
   used to pass "0" as an argument when this was undefined by the
   API documentation.  Then, we changed the behaviour of "0" and
   documented it, and his code broke.  This is the problem of the
   calling program in my world.

I personally -- not as a representative of Lensfun -- am happy about
the departure of Hugin.  Thomas contributed code to Lensfun that
could only be used by Hugin.  After the departure, we could get rid
of it.  At the same time, we got rid of an erroneous calculation of
the focal length, which still is in Hugin: I filed a bug report, and
https://bugs.launchpad.net/hugin/+bug/1307457 certainly demonstrates
well why don't like to follow-up on the Hugin mailing list.
