Hugin lens calibrator doesn't like checkerboards, but hugin likes them very 
much, they can even be used to calculate vignetting :)

I wonder if I could generate an ideal checkerboard, then try to have hugin 
transform the captured one to the ideal.

Maybe, once I get the parameters worked out, I should try doing a real panorama.

I wish there were a way to just do a flat field though.
