The trunk now contains a first draft of new read/write code. Here is
the checkin log:

QQQ
A mass update involving Leo's read/write code.

All unit tests pass, and pylint is happy, but please don't use this
code unless you are adventurous.

- Eliminated support for @noref. Such nodes are now considered
ordinary (non @<file>) nodes.

- Eliminated all writes of tnodeList. Leo should still be able to read
old @file nodes, but that's not guaranteed.

- Fixed (or changed) a strange hack in putAtAllChild. More work in
this area clearly is needed.

Imo, this work is an essential part of the fix for the critical data
bug. It had to be done before giving clones in @all trees low
priority.

I see no real advantage in creating a separate branch for this work.
It is urgent and it needs as much testing as we can give it. I am
being as careful as possible, but please use care if you choose to use
the recent work.

As always, and especially now, please report any problems immediately.

Edward

P.S. There is one known bug with the present code. Sometimes clones
in @all trees are not marked clean after saving the external file.
I'm working on it.
