David Goodger clarified that recent versions of docutils do, in fact, work with Py3k. Indeed, docutils' setup.py calls 2to3 to translate the docutils sources to a Py3k compatible form. It takes about 30 seconds.
Rev 3191 of the trunk fixes a Py3k-related bug in Leo's rst3 command. With this fix in place I was able to use Leo3k to generate Leo's documentation.
