Ah, the rst chapter - I recall that reading it didn't help me to
understand it at all, it was more like a dump of all the features,
written as they are implemented.

Long docs are not a problem. I think you should read the docs for a
program like Leo in peace, while thinking about what you could do with
it. Back in the day, I read a printed version of Leo documentation in
bed, imagining what cool stuff I could do with it. I think I did this
even before I tried actually using Leo for anything serious :-).

Problem is documentation that wants to be "reference" before doing the
job of "tutorial".
