I said [ctrl-ins] because [ins] is what I usually use for insert-headline (one key instead of a key-chord), and it's defined out of the box. I'm not particular about which key binding though. I don't think tfer's suggestion of [ctrl-enter] for insert-child really works because [enter] by itself means enter body edit mode -- there's no logical similarity. (though it would make sense if Leo also uses Freemind's method of pressing [enter] while in headline edit mode creates a new node on the same level.) should this discussion be added & moved to https://bugs.launchpad.net/leo-editor/+bug/701188?
