I noted that I just used "untangle" to mean "tangle". "Tangling" means
creating a flat representation from a tree by expanding @others and <<
section references >>

For a non-english speaker (programmer or not), "tangle" and "untangle"
are not all that intuitive.

Perhaps we should:

- start using "flatten" instead of "tangle"
- stop using "untangle" completely ;-)

Any ideas for alternative names? serialize? expand? derive?
