This is probably the most important Aha I've had this month, because
it removes a psychological roadblock and shows the way forward.

It is simply this: I can think of maintaining Leo as a chore, and
that's a *good* thing. Like most chores--brushing my teeth, paying my
bills, doing the dishes--this additional chore *contributes* to my
life.

Obviously, this particular chore contributes to Leo, but it *also*
contributes to whatever might be next.

Thus, it's not a question of "finishing Leo" so I can "move on" to
something else. Just as I am not ever going to be finished with
brushing my teeth or doing the dishes, I am not ever going to be
finished improving Leo. The Aha is that the ongoing work on Leo will
*not* prevent me from doing other projects. On the contrary, doing
Leo chores will free me to do other things.

I saw this Aha on a walk this morning. Afterwards, while still on my
walk, I had lots of ideas for "cutting the Gordian knot" of type
checking Python programs. It's really quite easy, provided one looks
for pragmatic approaches rather than elegant, general and useless
algorithms.
