Thanks for this. With scrolledmessage disabled the rendering pane
appears in the usual place: to the right of the body pane.

Thanks. There is no urgency, but it will be nice to get all these
issues resolved.
One more item:
8. (Somewhat important). The buttons in test.leo don't seem to work:
There are two sets of these buttons. The active ones are children of
the node:
viewrendered examples-->viewrendered buttons
