Reviewing this thread, I think Terry's work is good as it is. Sure, it might be marginally improved, but .ini files are not the way, imo. Indeed, one expects the user to set up a default layout, and then rarely, if ever, change it. So one only need to know enough to create your desired layout. After that, everything is automatic. And setting up the layout is also easy: just right-click Leo's splitters. Again, better docs might be nice, but they aren't really that important.
