Thanks for this comment. I'll have to fix that somehow :-)

I think that we need to transclude some information in the google community mailing list to the front page in a similar way that is used in some communities putting some of the microblog post on twitter or identica to get a sense for the first visitor of what's going on in the community talks. For me this list is a great live resource and just pointing to it in the front page doesn't give that sense of liveness.

To me first appearances seemed like the Leo was either
a dying project or too new to be used realistically. Despite the tutorial,
it still seems a little hard for new users to get going with it.

Yes, there is some learning required.

Tell me that to me! after years I'm still a newbie and I'm not a programmer, so there is some kind of attachment even if you don't get it all the picture or are not in the intended or usual kind of "power users". Understanding the Leo way of dealing with documentation (that is what I do on it, take me really years... but it was some kind of serendipity also).

Also the
unpolished UI is a little disenchanting (last I checked the "Find" form was
rendering extremely funny for smaller sizes, where controls were
over-lapping with each other making text impossible to read)

That was fixed ages ago, last week, that is :-) I recommend getting
Leo using bzr to keep up with the daily, if not hourly, upgrades.

Time to explore bzr version. :-)

Cheers,

Offray

Ps: I'm now in Madrid and will be the next of the month on Berlin. Any "leonizers" (is that how we call ourselves?) in that countries?
