Now I'm not so sure. Although pdb shows byte hash for Python 3.2, pdb
on Python 2.6 shows reasonable unicode escape sequences.

Furthermore, the execute-script writes the proper characters to leo
\test\scriptFile.py.

I feel like I am drowning in an inch of water. Everything works
except Python's own tools: pdb and print!

My model for what is happening is that they are using a weird Windows
console encoding. But they don't claim to be doing that!

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
