Yep, 4672 was indeed the commit that broke the menu and key bindings for copy & 
paste on OSX.  I was hoping I could look over the diff and see where the 
problem might be, but enough was changed in that commit that it is hard (for an 
outsider) to figure out exactly what happened, and after a while of poking 
around I eventually gave up.

Hopefully revision 4671 will prove stable enough that I can adopt it for now;  
it has a quirk that if you save and re-open it while you had selected a node 
with over 155 lines of content then the editor pane will refuse to scroll past 
the 155th line, but if you then move to another node and move back the problem 
goes away.
