Yes.  I guess my subconscious turned your idea into mine.  Thanks for
priming the pump.  I'm happy to give you full credit for the idea.
What matters is the final result.

This sounds like the reverse of what I was thinking of, which is a
"master" tree that people use, and one or more "helper" trees that
actually carry the data.
