I seem to have left out the second video link:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-dUkyn_fZA

... which I described in this manner: "Here is a video that's much longer
but happens to address your points 1, 2 and 4 through 7, (note 15:05 for
point 4! Few emacs users use @button-type functionality, but it is there!)"

Regarding the concepts, well, I am an org-mode amateur and I know less
about Leo. But were not these concepts, these tools, developed to solve
problems?

I'm going to guess that some of the problems that Leo needed to solve along
the way were already provided for by org-mode's environment, emacs, just as
some Leo problems turned out to be already solved by its environment,
python.

I'm also going to guess that the two had some problems in common, but found
wildly different solutions.
For example, here are some org-mode functions related to moving nodes:
http://orgmode.org/manual/Refile-and-copy.html<http://orgmode.org/manual/Refile-and-copy.html#Refile-and-copy>
 ...But
here are some others, for moving nodes within a
document: (org-metaup), (org-metadown), (org-metaleft), (org-metaright).
On my system, these are bound to Alt+arrow keys. The current node (p in
leo?) is the one "under the point" (what emacs calls the cursor. Most
interactive commands read or set the point, or both).

I'll continue the guessing and assume that in some cases, the two ended up
with similar solutions to similar problems.

But, we're really far from my original suggestion now! :)

Which was: don't look at org-mode as a crusty old relic. If you make that
mistake, you're denying yourself a deep wellspring of inspiration.

org-mode is under active development, and many smart people* consider it
'special'. I suspect that it contains leonine qualities, perhaps even some
that Leo hasn't discovered yet. *(I suppose that the gentleman in this
second video meets that definition.)

That's all. Have a wonderful season!
