I dont know if this is fixable or not, but try the following code:

import time
time.sleep(30)

And Leo becomes irresponsive for 30 seconds. And it literally looks like it hang, specially if you dont know what is happening. It would be nice to inform the user that a script is being run, instead of acting as if it hanged =)

Proposal for a simple fix: Include a small progress bar in the status bar. When not actively doing something, it simply states 'idle' or 'ready' or something. When it's working on something, have it continuously fill from 0 to 100%, say 10% every half second or so?

This should be toggleable, of course, as it could slow down some scripts.
