I dont even _think_ of renaming my outlines into @files or @auto etc since
I dont know what can happen.
That prevented me from using files for over a year (obviously Im focusing
in other aspects, and not needing to produce actual files, If I needed it,
the reward would exceed the work for sure).
Its never intuitive to know who is the "boss", meaning, if I edit a file
outside Leo, but a leo outline is open with the file, who wins? How will my
data change? What will I have to do to go back to original? Undo??
Some of these questions have prevented me from going into Leo file
management.
The only way for me to go down that road will be when I can click a Leo
button that will give me for instance, 3 options, telling me the summary of
differences, for instance:
Outline into File wizzard:
Transform outline to:
@file @auto @etc
Who prevails in a conflict? Leo
ExternalFile Both win
External files keep outline? Yes
No ...
External file changes to store Leo outline data? Yes No
....
And then it would be nice for the wizzard to ask me where do I want the
file, and which name.
Please note Im not asking for such a wizzard, but I strongly think that
such a thing, which would make file creation two click away from anyone, in
a totally-informed way, and without having to remember anything (Im too bad
with memory, its another reason why It takes me so long to go into such
matters), would make for a turn-on for any new user wanting to use files
with Leo.
I also realize this is not the way usually Leo is pointed to, but well,
wanted to post this idea anyway hehe.
One last thing, Im brainstorming on your Principle posts, dont take me
whining in all of them as some sort of complaining or something, im quite
happy and thankful for Leo hehe.
