Hi all,
I've written a fairly long-winded Leo scripting intro tutorial on
my blog. It's here:
http://blog.suspended-chord.info/2014/01/28/intro-to-leo-scripting/
I've also linked it on the Leoblog.
Let me know if you have any suggestions (if you care to read it,
that is!) :)
Looks excellent. I love this kind of chatty style. I seem incapable
of writing as well as you did.
About the name "es": The "e" prefix means, "send to log pane". You
could say it stands for "echo". Other examples: es_print,
es_exception, ... The "s" suffix stands for "string".
I use es a lot. The name follows the dictum, "the more often used a
name, the shorter it should be". In other words, the most important
thing about the name is that it is short ;-)
Anyway, this is a great addition to Leo's tutorial material. Many
thanks for creating it.
Edward
Thanks for the comment, and the correction! I'll edit the post to
reflect that g.es means "echo string", where the target of the echo is
the log pane.
