I particularly wanted to *avoid* using my home directory, since that would
be read by 4.11 Final as well as my local github master version. The only
way I saw to have something specific to the Leo version was to put it in
the configDir. But apparently the documentation at
http://leoeditor.com/customizing.html#search-order-for-settings-files is
wrong since configDir/myLeoSettings.leo is *not* being read (at least on
Windows 7?).

BTW I set the HOME environment variable on my system (mainly because my
main editor Emacs needs to put all sorts of stuff there and I don't want
those on my system drive) and Leo very nicely also uses that for its
settings.
