Hello World, For my day job, and even increasing bit by bit at home, I've taken to using Microsoft OneNote <http://office.microsoft.com/en-ca/onenote/> for the majority of my thought storming and knowledge recording needs. It satisfies, more or less, the need to integrate (not just embed) graphics and text and move things about at whim on a page. More importantly it creates and uses inter page links web-style very well. In a phrase, it's an easy and capable tool to "paint" my thoughts and documentation with words and graphics.
As for structuring said ideas, it's ok, having a few levels of indentation and tabbed sections, but compared to Leo it's anemic. Onenote has macro ability through addins, but compared to Leo scripting it sucks (though there are some very good ones <http://www.omeratay.com/onetastic/?r=macroland> out there). It's useless for code, though in defense it was never designed to be used that way. I've used *many *programs over the years for capturing, organizing and visualizing thoughts and knowledge. So far OneNote is the closest to being Good Enough for writing and visualizing, and Leo is the closest for structuring, organizing and coding. So here's my over the top blue sky wish for lazy web: Someone please make a OneNote-like application with Leo under the hood. I'm greedy, wanting to have my cake and eat it too. thanks! ;-) -matt -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "leo-editor" group.
